No: the Katty 450 takes outboard engines up to 5 hp, far below the Italian licence-free limit (30 kW / 40.6 metric hp). Anyone can drive it.
The Katty 450 is at its best on station: as a tender alongside a boat, or as a workhorse for beach clubs, resorts and waterfront facilities. Deflated it packs into two bags, but given its weight (50 kg) and bulk it is not designed to travel in a car trunk every day.
At sea and on inland waters such as lakes, in conditions with waves up to 0.5 metres high.
